What Hi-Fi?
A unique design and clever controls are its strongest selling points, which mppayer rarely enough to persuade consumers interested in sound quality, sophistication and sleekness, or extras like an FM tuner, EQs, and play modes.
Like similarly sized DAPs, the Mplayer is designed to be worn around your neck. The player emits a beep to indicate navigation changes. We didn't find the included earbuds to be particularly comfortable or iriveg, but they should suffice for younger listeners.

The Bottom Line The Iriver Mplayer isn't necessarily the best option for young children, but it's a swell-sounding music player for Mickey Mouse fans of all other ages. None of these are decked out with a painted-on face, however; the shape alone designates the mousiness. A short twist and then a twist and hold of the track shuffle ear lets you skip through folders. More straight-laced companies probably would have produced a rectangular device with an image of Mickey either printed or engraved on it. The iriver Mplayer is a novelty DAP designed for die-hard Disney fans, iriver completists, and just about no one else. The first 3 are completely inaudible and anything above 20 is way too loud for me.
Apple's iPod Touch gives you a good portion of the iPhone 6 experience in a tiny package, Music playback resumes about 5 seconds after the player is turned on and stops within 1 second of pressing the button to turn it off. The Bad The Iriver Mplayer has no display and thus few features, and it doesn't seem to be very durable.
The rated battery life of 9 hours is nothing to write home about, but it's not out of the ordinary for a player of this size. Everything is slightly muddled and, of course, bass is non-existent.

We accidentally dropped Mickey from a height of about 4 feet and half of an ear snapped off. We've said it before, and we'll say it again: On first blush, you might be tempted to cast off Iriver's Mickey Mouse-shaped Mplayer as one of these tawdry examples of gadgetry--we certainly were.
The device is about the size of a shooter marble, with two 0. Iriver offers the Mplayer in an array of colors--pink, black, silver, or white--all in high-gloss plastic. We've changed, we promise.
